A man said he feared for his life when he shot and killed two brothers on Interstate 25 in June 2023 – he was arrested moments after the shooting and charged with two counts of first-degree murder. Last August, prosecutors dropped one of the murder charges against Stephan Long. Now, advocates are pushing the Denver District Attorney's Office to drop the second charge against him. Thursday afternoon, a small crowd gathered on the steps outside the Wellington Webb Municipal Building, clinging to signs with photos of Long. Denver Justice Project founder Alexander Landau was surrounded by family and supporters of Long, including his mom Stephanie Clifton. "My son didn't do anything wrong. We just want justice, we want justice," Clifton said.
