The foreperson on a jury that couldn’t reach a verdict on key counts in the trial of Andrew Buen said a holdout juror appeared biased and shouldn’t have been on the jury. Kristi Englekirk, a defense attorney, was selected foreperson on Wednesday, when the jury began deliberating the case that revolves around the 2022 shooting death of Christian Glass after he called 911 for help during an apparent mental health crisis. The jury voted to convict Buen on one of the three counts: reckless endangerment. But the jury hung on second-degree murder and official misconduct.
