A 6-year-old girl who was the subject of an Amber Alert on Sunday night was found safe and a suspect was in custody, the Aurora Police Department said. Police said the girl was inside a 2015 Jeep Compass when it was stolen about 9 p.m. Sunday from a gas station in the area of East Iliff Avenue and South Havana Street in Aurora. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation issued an Amber Alert for the girl around 10:25 p.m. Police said around 10:50 p.m. that the girl had been found safe, the suspect was in custody and the Amber Alert was canceled.
