Denver Police confirmed to 9NEWS they are looking into an incident captured on a city camera that appears to depict a man taken by force as he walked down a sidewalk and toward a recreational center. Police would not release the video to 9NEWS and only sent a still from the video; however, 9NEWS obtained the footage through an open records request with the Denver Parks and Recreation Department. The video, according to time stamps, was recorded at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 23 and shows a man dressed in yellow/gold pants and a brown jacket walking on the sidewalk near the Harvey Park Recreation Center, near West Evans Avenue and South Raleigh Street in west Denver. A gray car pulls up, and a man in blue jeans and a green jacket gets out of the vehicle, tackles the man and then drags him by his clothes to the vehicle. Onlookers can be seen watching the incident as the gray car drives away.
