A 12-year-old from Broomfield lived out his dreams sitting courtside for warm-ups before the Denver Nuggets game Wednesday night, before attending NBA All-Star weekend in Indianapolis. While Patrick McCoy was playing basketball two years ago, he had a seizure on the court. An MRI later revealed a brain tumor the size of a ping-pong ball. He later traveled to Boston to have brain surgery. Dream On 3, a nonprofit making sports-themed dreams come true for kids living with life-altering conditions, helped this young basketball player and fan live out his dream. Anticipation grew outside of Nativity: Faith and Reason school in Broomfield on Wednesday, as family and friends got ready to pull off a big surprise for McCoy. “This is about the best dream ever,” McCoy said. “Just got picked up out of school and saw the limo over here and everybody, my uncle over here, my grandma, my grandpa. It's just been an awesome day so far.”
