Snow is falling in the mountains of Colorado west of Denver as a winter storm system moves through. Another mild day for Denver and the plains as several inches of snow continues for northern mountain locations. As the next system heads toward Colorado, snow again will increase over the high country with one more mild day for the east. Right now the path for this next system seems to take it just to the north of our state, but a cold front accompanying the system will drop south through Colorado and may drag some snow, certainly colder air, along with it. Rapid weather improvement for Denver and the plains comes late Friday into Saturday with dry and warmer conditions as light snow continues for the high country.
