Another weekend winter weather system has arrived in Colorado. The next winter storm pushes in from the southwest Friday and Saturday with snow developing across the Colorado high country as well as the Front Range and Denver area.
Some snow could develop Friday morning before a midday break in the afternoon hours Friday. The next surge of cold air and moisture will arrive Friday evening, continuing through the night and into Saturday.
A Winter Storm Watch goes into effect Friday in Denver around 5 p.m. through Saturday evening. Denver should see around 3-6” of snow by late Saturday.
Colorado's higher elevations, such as the foothills, the western and southern suburbs and the Palmer Divide/Monument Hill area, could see 12” or more. Snow should be over by midnight Saturday with Sunday dawning with partly sunny skies.
