Description
Off Sherrelwood Drive in Adams County, a mangled stop sign still sat in the corner of Francisco Chacon’s yard on Tuesday, after a deadly shooting and crash two days before.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office said a driver was shot about 2:20 a.m. Sunday in the 1800 block of Sherrelwood Drive, after a couple of juveniles in the street began firing shots as the car neared. The driver crashed into Chacon's car, which was parked in his driveway. The impact of the crash pushed his car into his home. The driver and her passenger were taken to a hospital, where the driver was later pronounced dead, investigators said.
The juveniles who fired shots ran from the scene, the sheriff's office said.
