A woman is dead after being hit by a pickup truck while crossing a street in a wheelchair Thursday in Lakewood, police said. The Lakewood Police Department said a man in a pickup truck ran into the 52-year-old woman in a crosswalk at West Colfax Avenue and Teller Street just before 1 p.m. Thursday.
