Officials are on the scene of a natural gas well in Weld County after its plug failed Wednesday night.
The Colorado Energy and Carbon Management Commission said Thursday that emergency crews were at Sealock 1, a Barrett Resources well that was plugged and abandoned in 1993, located southwest of the intersection of Weld County Road 50 and Loma Vista Place near Johnstown.
Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has deployed its mobile monitor lab.
