Crews are searching for a 21-year-old man who went underwater while kayaking on Lake Granby Sunday morning, the Grand County Sheriff's Office said. Deputies said the kayaker and his friend had spent the night on Deer Island and were kayaking back to the shore. As they tried to paddle across the open water, the wind caused the man's kayak to capsize, and he fell into the lake. His friend was unable to save him before he went underwater, the sheriff's office said.
