A high school teacher and head football coach at Bartow High School allegedly had several inappropriate conversations with female students. Tyler Eden, 31, was arrested by Polk County deputies following an investigation that started earlier this month when a parent reported an inappropriate conversation her daughter had with the teacher. Detectives said Eden asked a student if she wanted to earn community service hours by helping him with athletic chores. When the student was helping sort helmets, Eden talked to her about a teacher who wanted to have sex with him in the locker room. After the student said she didn't want to continue the conversation, he still kept talking about how he wanted to have sex with the other teacher despite being married, according to a news release. The next day, the student went back to perform more community service when her hoodie got caught on a box and the zipper broke. She asked Eden for a T-shirt to put on to cover herself, and Eden allegedly reached out and unzipped her jacket all the way. Deputies said Eden kept trying to fix the jacket but eventually handed her a shirt. The student walked into a separate area to change, but when she turned around, he was standing behind her and watching her. "He then complimented her bra, and told her repeatedly there were no cameras there," deputies said. "The victim told Eden she was uncomfortable, at which time Eden asked her not to report the incident." Eden told deputies later that he did try to fix the zipper but at the student's request. "Not only is this highly inappropriate behavior by a teacher, imagine just how frightened this student was. Here was the head football coach who was already discussing lewd behavior, unzipping her clothes, then following her into a locker room where he remarked there are no cameras, and complimenting her undergarments. This guy is a total creep, and now he's going to jail. We are not going to tolerate anyone - especially school teachers and coaches - preying on our children," Sheriff Grady Judd said in a statement.
