Description
A U.S. Army intelligence officer was arrested Tuesday at MacDill Air Force Base on multiple felony charges.
Hillsborough County deputies said they began investigating 37-year-old David McGillivray after a woman reported that he "forcefully restrained and sexually battered" her at his home on Dec. 21.
McGillivray was taken into custody Wednesday with assistance from military personnel. He is charged with three counts of sexual battery (force likely to cause injury) and aggravated stalking.
"Predators who use violence to harm and control others have no place in our community," Sheriff Chad Chronister said. "This arrest is a testament to the dedication of our detectives and the commitment we have to seeking justice for victims."
The investigation is ongoing.
