A large fire at a pallet supply yard shut down part of U.S. 41 on Thursday afternoon in Tampa. Tampa Fire Rescue crews received 911 calls just after 3 p.m. about a fire at 4801 South 50th Street, the address of a wood pallet supplier. They arrived to "a heavy, deep-seated fire," the agency said. Plumes of black smoke could be seen from the Selmon Expressway.
