Local businesses have been left devastated as fire officials investigate a suspected arson spree involving five different fires. Right now, Arvin Solimanpoor is facing charges for allegedly breaking into the Pink Pony Showgirls club, firing a gun multiple times and setting it on fire. Police arrested him at the scene early Wednesday morning. Now, investigators with Hillsborough County Fire Rescue are looking into whether the Pink Pony fire is connected to several other fires that happened in the area. Early Tuesday morning, officials say a fire broke out at The Smoke Bodega Hemp Dispensary & Indica Cafe Kava Kratom Tea Room on Sheldon Road. Another fire was set outside the Curaleaf Dispensary, also on Sheldon Road. The other fires which investigators think could be connected happened at the Secrets Gentleman's Club, on West Hillsborough Avenue, and also a vehicle in its parking lot. The owners of The Smoke Bodega and Indica Cafe Kava Bar in Tampa say they poured their life savings into the small business.
