The Florida Strawberry Festival is right around the corner, and there are many new things for visitors to try. The 11-day event celebrates the delicious berry in many creative ways and starts Thursday. “Whether it’s the thrilling rides, the delicious strawberry-inspired treats, or the one-of-a-kind shopping, this year’s festival is designed to be bigger, better, and more exciting for the whole family. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to Plant City for another amazing celebration of our community and our beloved strawberries!” a news release read. There is a lineup of artists, contests, animal exhibits, dog shows and much more. Here are some of the new things to look for at the festival: Entertainment Amazing Veranica & Her Incredible Friends A trainer and her dogs that were on America's Got Talent Daily shows at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Valley's End Gospel singer/songwriter band Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. "An Evening with Patsy" featuring Soundtraxx Band The band is a tribute act dedicated to recreating Patsy Cline's sound March 2 at 6 p.m. Darrell Sikes Band A country and southern rock band March 3 at 6 p.m. Bryce Mauldin Country singer March 8 at 6 p.m. HILBY the Skinny German Juggle Boy Comedy show with unicycles, bowling balls and hedge trimmers Monday-Thursday at noon, 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. additional 7 p.m. shows on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays Strawberry Pizza Pie Eating Contest Register at Spaghetti Eddie's concession stand Wheels of Agriculture Game Show Daily at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. with additional 7 p.m. on weekends SQUAWK!
