Description
Multiple teens are being charged as adults in connection to an attack at the Davis Islands Dog Park that left another teen unconscious.
It happened around 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 13 during a bonfire gathering, according to the Tampa Police Department. Investigators say two teens were sitting inside a black Ford pickup truck when Jacob Ely, 17, threw a large rock at the rear window.
Ely, along with Owen Callahan, 17, Orian Robinson, 18, and Grayson Shearer, 15, reportedly got into the truck and assaulted the teen sitting in the passenger seat. They then "forcibly removed" both victims from the car, according to police.
During the assault, authorities say the teen who was in the passenger seat lost consciousness, and Ely threw a rock at his head. Police say the other teen victim, meanwhile, was "in fear for his life" as Joseph Gesuale, 15, was waving a knife back and forth.
Jace Villanueva, 16, was also reportedly involved in the attack.
The unconscious victim was treated at a local hospital for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released. The other teen victim was not injured.
