Description
If you're a Buc-ee's fan, you might have to start planning your next road trip. The famous giant convenience store and gas station will be coming to another location in Florida.
Developers submitted a permit applications for a 75,00 square-foot facility in Tallahassee north of I-10.
The proposed plan includes 120 gas pumps, 795 parking spaces, 11 bus/RV spaces and 24 electric vehicle spots. While inside, there will most definitely be a large selection of Beaver Nuggets, jerky, and BBQ favorites such as pulled pork.
Those who aren't in the mood for a snack could browse the large selection of home items and Buc-ee's themed products ranging from stuffed animals to shot glasses.
The Tallahassee location would be the fifth Buc-ee's in Florida, but the fourth is also in the works on the Treasure Coast.
A development plan application was submitted to St. Lucie County in January. In Ocala, talks of the giant store have been in the works with that location being the "world's largest."
Sitting between Interstate 75 and U.S. Highway 301 in Ocala, the next "world's largest" Buc-ee's will sprawl across 80,000 square feet and house about 120 gas pumps. The proposal would also include 750 parking spots, with 28 spots for electric vehicles (EV). Marion County leaders approved the company's permit in February 2023. An exact opening date has not been set, but it's slated for sometime in 2025.
