Homicide detectives are working to find out what led to the death of a woman found floating in the water at Clearwater Beach. Clearwater police said a boater found the woman just before 2:30 p.m. Friday off the north part of the beach. Officers responded along with Clearwater Fire & Rescue. The woman was brought to shore where first responders performed CPR. She was transported to Morton Plant Hospital where she was pronounced dead. A death investigation is ongoing.
