Description

The crash happened around 3:39 p.m. Tuesday on Eskimo Curlew Road, north of Osprey Avenue. After getting off the school bus, the girl was walking along the unpaved and unmarked road edge when a passing 65-year-old Brooksville woman crashed into her with her Toyota Corolla, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The girl was seriously hurt and transported to a nearby hospital. State troopers confirmed on Thursday she had died from her injuries.
