For the second time in just the past eight months, the city of Lakeland is shutting down one of its major pools. This time it's the Gandy Pool, located at the city’s Kelly Recreation Complex. “Yes, I use the pool around three or four times a week. My wife also does,” Andy Swenson said. Swenson is one of many avid swimmers who was disappointed to find out the Gandy Pool is closing for repairs, which start on Thursday.
