Description
A 29-year-old Hernando County man who worked at the RAP House, a non-profit that houses at-risk and runaway teenagers, is behind bars after deputies say he sexually battered a 15-year-old who was staying there.
Pasco County Sheriff's deputies say their investigation began on Dec. 16 after speaking with the 15-year-old girl. She reportedly told detectives she had been at the RAP House since June and was "immediately" befriended by 29-year-old Ryan Dunn, an employee.
The teen reportedly told deputies that on Dec. 12, Dunn picked her up in front of her Pasco County school before classes started. He took her over county lines to nearby Hernando County, where they ended up at the Quality Inn on Cortez Boulevard in Brooksville.
She told deputies that while at the hotel, Dunn tried to have sex with her. Eventually, Dunn took the 15-year-old back to school in Pasco County.
The next day, Dunn reportedly picked up the teen again in front of the school before classes began. He drove back to the same hotel in Brooksville. The 15-year-old told deputies this time, Dunn sexually battered her while at the hotel. Dunn again drove the teen back to school in Pasco County.
A few days later, on Dec. 16, Dunn again picked up the 15-year-old before school started. This time they ended up at a Port Richey Walmart parking lot where the teen said Dunn sexually battered her in the backseat of his car.
At some point during this time, Dunn got a phone call from someone telling him the 15-year-old had been reported missing by RAP House personnel.
Dunn took the teen and dropped her off at a business close to her school. Authorities then found the teen as she was walking back to school.
