Description
A person was hospitalized after a shooting Friday night in Venice, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.
The shooting happened around 11 p.m. in the area of Fallow Road and East Baffin Drive, deputies said in a news release.
Little is known beyond those details, but the sheriff's office said a person of interest is in custody and the person shot is receiving care at the hospital.
