Description
Nine puppies are in need of foster homes this holiday season as they recover from the hurricanes.
The dogs were living in a car with their owners after the family was displaced by Hurricanes Helene and Milton before ending up at Pasco County Animal Services. They were transported to the Suncoast Animal League shelter and rescuers say they will need loving homes to rest and regain their strength and spirit.
The puppies are between three and four months old. Pictures show their ribs and backbones protruding and shelter staff said they are smaller and skinner than expected.
"These sweethearts are in rough shape," officials said.
