Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) troopers are searching for the driver in a hit-and-run that killed a 19-year-old bicyclist from Guatemala Saturday night in Wimauma. In a news release, the agency said the incident happened around 8:20 p.m. while the driver, traveling in a red Dodge Charger with black rims, headed east down the highway. Meanwhile, the 19-year-old was traveling in the same direction. West of 4th Street, the driver reportedly overtook and collided with the bicyclist. Troopers found parts from the front of the car after the driver took off from the crash, FHP said.
