If you're looking for a sense of peace and calm, Treasure Island may have exactly what you need.
The Treasure Island Police Department shared an update on Facebook Tuesday, announcing that "most of our beautiful beaches are now open to the public."
That's welcomed news for many in the area looking for a sense of normalcy.
Treasure Island was just one of many communities along Florida's Gulf Coast to be battered by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The damage was widespread and severe. Power lines went down, sand inundated streets and buildings, roofs were torn off and trees were uprooted.
