Hundreds of frozen waffles products sold at Walmart, Target and other major grocery stores in the U.S. are under recall because they could be contaminated with listeria. TreeHouse Foods announced a voluntary recall of more than 500 varieties of frozen waffles on Friday. The Illinois-based manufacturer said that it discovered the issue after routine testing at the facility. No confirmed reports of illness have been linked to the recall, according to the announcement. The recalled waffles are sold under a variety of names including Walmart’s Great Value, Target’s Good & Gather and private label brands sold by Food Lion, Kroger and Schnucks.It also produces waffles for brands like Kodiak Cakes, Simple Truth and Foodhold.
