Description

Pasco County School District said they want to close Calusa Elementary School in New Port Richey, with the goal to build a new K-8 school. They also want to combine Chasco Elementary School and Chasco Middle School in Port Richey, with the goal to give more academic opportunities to students in the county's west side schools. The school board will vote on the proposal Sept. 10. If approved, the changes would take effect for the next school year.
