Florida's Department of Environmental Protection confirmed with 10 Tampa Bay that they have officially withdrawn all remining proposed developments to state parks. They said the decision comes following direction from Governor Ron DeSantis and feedback from the public. Those proposals initially would have brought things like pickleball courts, hotels and a gold course to several parks including Honeymoon Island and Hillsborough River State Park. FDEP said they will revisit any park improvements next year, if needed.
