A body was found submerged in a car Monday afternoon in Phillippi Creek, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office. Deputies said divers were called to the area of Bahia Vista Street after a vehicle was spotted underwater. After diving into Phillippi Creek, they reportedly found the body inside the car.
