The National Hurricane Center has highlighted an area in the eastern tropical Atlantic for a 60% chance of development over the next seven days. The tropical wave is producing widespread, disorganized showers and thunderstorms, forecasters said in its latest update. Development of the wave looks to be slow to occur over the next few days while it moves westward into the central Atlantic.
