A water main break flooded a major roadway in the downtown Tampa area. The break began around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Ashley Drive at Whiting Street when it was caused by a contractor for the Pendry Tampa Residences working in the area, Daniel G. Hayes with Riverwalk Tower, LLC said in an email.
