A swimmer who disappeared Monday evening in the Gulf of Mexico has been found dead, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said. According to deputies, the search for the swimmer began after authorities got reports of a man in distress in the water off John's Pass. Authorities said they had to suspend the search overnight but planned to resume the search Tuesday once it became light outside.
