A man was killed after he was shot by a Polk County Sheriff's deputy when he rammed into the patrol vehicle and then confronted the deputy. Sheriff Grady Judd said in a video that it started when the man drove to his grandmother's house in Winter Haven in the Oakwood Estates neighborhood and hit her with his car around 9:30 p.m. on Friday. Then, he crashed into a deputy's patrol vehicle, who was responding to the scene when the deputy was turning around in the road.
