A 2-year-old was ejected from a car after a woman was driving drunk and crashed into a tree, according to police. Krista Carver, 33, was driving at 11:30 p.m. on Friday going southbound on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Street South with no headlights and was swerving within its lanes. She crossed into the opposing lanes of traffic and crashed into a large tree. The child, who was improperly secured in a car seat, was ejected, police said. The 2-year-old was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
