Description
Tropical Storm Beryl is now over the Gulf of Mexico, NHC forecasters said.
As of the latest advisory, Tropical Storm Beryl is about 545 miles southeast of Corpus Christi, Texas. Forecasters say the storm is moving at 12 mph with maximum sustained winds of 60 mph.
At this time, the government of Mexico has discontinued the tropical storm warning for the Yucatan Peninsula. Now, a hurricane watch is in place for the Texas coast from the mouth of the Rio Grande northward to San Luis Pass. The northeastern coast of mainland Mexico from Barra el Mezquital to the mouth of the Rio Grande is also under a hurricane watch.
