A Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office deputy was seriously hurt overnight Friday after he was run over by a driver he was trying to pull over, the agency said. It reportedly all started just after midnight Friday on Bearss Avenue near Nebraska Avenue in New Tampa. Deputy Kalin Hall, 33, tried to pull over the driver of a black BMW in an unmarked patrol vehicle equipped with emergency equipment, according a sheriff's office spokesperson. While the driver stopped, as soon as Hall approached the car, they took off.
