Two people are dead after a shooting Friday afternoon in New Tampa. It happened just after 2:30 p.m. on New Tampa Boulevard near Timber Reach Road. Police say they arrived to find an adult man with gunshot wounds who was pronounced dead at the scene. A short time later, officers found a car near E Bearss Avenue and N Florida Avenue with two more people who had gunshot wounds, according to the police department. One of the people in the car was pronounced dead. The other was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. "It is still early in the investigation but at this point, it appears all parties involved are known to each other and this was not a random incident," the Tampa Police Department wrote.
