Firefighters in Miami rescued multiple people from an apartment building that caught fire Monday. At the same time, police are investigating a shooting, according to reports. Crews were dispatched shortly after 8:15 a.m. to the Temple Court Apartments located at Northwest 3rd Street near 4th Avenue, according to NBC South Florida. Aerial footage from CBS Miami shows smoke billowing from what appears to be at least a three-story structure. Miami Fire Rescue Captain Ignatius Carroll told the CBS station that firefighters saw heavy smoke and flames coming from a third-floor window. The building has a common attic, which allowed the fire to spread.
