A pilot was hospitalized with critical injuries after an airplane glider crashed Saturday afternoon into a Winter Haven neighborhood. It happened around 1:50 p.m. along Avenue K SE across from Winter Haven High School. Photos show a small white glider lying upside down across the road with its front end damaged. No one on the ground was injured.
