Four people were hospitalized following a serious crash that shut down the westbound lanes on the Courtney Campbell Causeway heading toward Clearwater for several hours, authorities said. The crash, which happened just after 2 p.m. Monday, involved a sedan, pickup truck and motorcycle, according to the Tampa Police Department. The driver of the pickup truck suffered critical injuries, while the other three people were being treated for serious injuries. Traffic cameras showed troopers redirecting westbound traffic near the boat ramp on the Tampa side of the causeway. Tampa police announced just before 7:30 p.m. that all lanes have reopened. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
