Description
It's been more than three weeks since 14-year-old Jevario Buie was shot and left to die by railroad tracks in Tampa, and no arrests have been made.
In an effort to solve Buie's homicide and catch the people responsible for his death, Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is increasing its reward. Previously, an $8,000 reward from both Crime Stoppers and Buie's family was offered.
Tampa police said Crime Stoppers is upping the reward to $20,000, according to a release on Thursday. Tips that lead to the identification and arrest of the people responsible are eligible for the reward.
Tampa Police Chief Lee Bercaw, Hillsborough County State Attorney Suzy Lopez and Community Leader Thaddeus Bullard, aka WWE superstar Titus O'Neil will speak at noon Thursday at police headquarters.
