The free test period allowing drivers to commute roads on Gateway Expressway ended today, a week after it welcomed Tampa Bay-area commuters to its lanes. Starting from noon Friday, toll collections will begin on State Roads 686A and 690, as well as on the freeway’s express lanes all leading into Interstate 275.
