Description

A 3-year-old was one of two people killed in a shooting Monday night in Lakeland, according to the police department. A homicide investigation is underway. It happened just after 6:30 p.m. in the area of 1850 Cambridge Cove Circle. Police say they arrived within two minutes of being dispatched to find two people had been hit by gunfire. Both the Lakeland Fire Department and Polk County Fire Rescue began providing life-saving measures.
