Description
A teen's death is fueling his family's pain after police say his life was suddenly taken by his own friend.
Jacques Ford was killed last Tuesday after being shot in an apartment at a complex on the 1200 block of Engman Street.
"I turn to wake up every day he's not there. I still go in his room and he's not there. Knowing that he was alone, that's what hurts the most," his mother Melisha Ford said Monday night.
She's speaking out for the first time since the shooting only to 10 Tampa Bay's Angelina Salcedo saying she wants everyone responsible for his death to be held accountable. She's doing her best to cope after the loss of her loving 16-year-old son.
"He was overprotective over us. He liked to make music and play his Xbox. I've been listening to his songs every day," Ford said.
Clearwater Police say Ques was shot by another teen in the apartment complex he lived in while 'play fighting' on Jan. 30.
"I had like 6 missed phone calls and my daughters came knocking at my door," Ford said through tears.
