King Charles III, the ruler of Britain, has been diagnosed with cancer and has started receiving treatment. The news from Buckingham Palace on Monday comes just after Charles went in to the hospital for a minor prostate surgery. The palace says the cancer is not related to the king’s recent treatment for a benign prostate condition. It did not say what form of cancer the 75-year-old monarch has. Charles, who ascended the throne just over one year ago, was diagnosed with an enlarged prostate on Jan. 17 after he experienced undisclosed symptoms. He canceled engagements and was urged to rest before the procedure, which was completed on Friday afternoon.
