A woman in Los Angeles wasn't about to make it easy for a thief to get away with her pet earlier this month. Ali Zacharias said she was eating on the outside patio of a Whole Foods downtown with her dog, Onyx, when another woman snatched the French bulldog and ran. Zacharias chased after the woman and said she acted on instinct when the thief got into a car and started to drive away. "I was, like, I'm not letting this car go. And so I had just held onto the windshield wipers and before I knew it, we were driving down the block and picking up speed. And I was freaking out for my life," she said. Zacharias suffered minor injuries when she fell off the car after holding on for a few blocks. The thieves got away with Onyx. The Los Angeles Police Department said it's investigating.
