Description
Two types of Robitussin cough syrup have been recalled because of microbial contamination that could be dangerous for people who are immunocompromised or medically at-risk.
Eight lots of Robitussin Honey CF Max Day Adult and Robitussin Honey CF Max Nighttime Adult are included in the nationwide recall.
The tainted product is unlikely to cause any issues for people who are not immunocompromised, but infections in immunocompromised individuals could be severe or life-threatening, global health company Haleon said.
There have been no adverse reactions reported related to the recall, according to an FDA notice. Consumers who have a product with an affected lot number should stop using it immediately and consult a physician or health care provider if they have experienced any problems.
