A person shot Friday morning at the Sarasota Commons shopping center has died from their injuries, the Sarasota Police Department said Saturday. Police are asking anyone in the public who was at the shooting scene, which happened around 11:30 a.m. at the complex on 900 N. Beneva Road, to contact Detective Llovio at 941-809-3009. This includes a person who spoke with a uniformed police officer at the scene and was wearing glasses and a tie-dye shirt at the time.
