A woman and a man are dead after they were hit by a car that was involved in a crash Saturday afternoon in St. Petersburg, police say. At 2:21 p.m., a person driving a Toyota Corolla and another driving a Mazda sedan crashed into each other on 4th Street North at 72nd Avenue North, the St. Pete Police Department said in a news release. As a result, one of the cars drove off the road and struck the woman and man, the latter of which was on a bike, authorities say.
